The Jewish Calendar is based on the Lunar cycle . Each new day begins at sundown,
which is why holidays, anniversaries, and candle lighting times occur at or just after sundown.
This calendar shows Holiday and Shabbos candle lighting times for
the general Charleston, WV area as well as Torah readings, and upcoming Holidays.
